Shruti Gupte- Production Designer
Shruti, a Production Designer, is an Architect who has graduated from the School of Architecture, CEPT, and has also studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna. To pursue her interest in films she did an intensive course in film making from New York University.
Her graduating Thesis, Film and Architecture, a subject that only a handful have attempted set the course for her career in films as an Art Director and eventually a Production Designer. She started her career as an Architect in films. In the sand dunes of Jaisalmer, Shruti integrated Architecture and Films by designing and constructing a complete village. Realizing the need to integrate her Architecture skills with Filmmaking skills, she did an intensive course in 16mm color; Sync Sound Filmmaking from the New York University.
She has to her credit more than 100 commercials for the Indian and International market. In her career of 13 years, Shruti has done 9 Feature Films, I TV film, 6 TV shows, exhibition events for India Design for clients like Asian Paints, and live events, like the launch of Sabyasachi’s range of wallpapers for Nilaya, Asian Paints, along with numerous print campaigns,
Having worked all genres and formats in the media/ entertainment industry, she has a unique perspective on visual narratives, and storytelling.
Creatively inclined Shruti does oil paintings and enjoys creating sculptures clay pieces on the pottery wheel.
